How do I add a discount?

If you would like to add a Discount to a client's appointment when the service has been completed and you’re going through Checkout.

There are two main types of discounts:

1. Predefined
2. Manual

1) Predefined Discount

Predefined Discounts are created in advance of the appointment and can be selected when you get to checkout. Before you can apply the discount to a sale first need to set it up.

Creating a Discount

• Go to Settings and choose Add/Edit Discounts.
• Click Add Discount. Create a Deal name and Deal Value. You can apply either a percentage, e.g. 15% off or a fixed amount like $10 off.
• Save changes.

PRO TIP:

Deals will never be applied automatically to any service. You will need to apply the deal when you get to checkout.

• Applying a Predefined Discount
• Click on the appointment you’d like to apply the deal to and select Checkout.
• Click on the product or service you want to checkout at a discounted rate under Items.
• Choose a deal type from the dropdown under Discount.
• Proceed with checkout and the discount will automatically be applied to the item you selected.

PRO TIP:

Discounts available are populated only from the list of discounts you’ve created.

NOTE:

Discounts are applied by product or service and not by total value. This is to give you the opportunity to apply different deals to different products or services. You can only apply one deal per product or service.

2) Manual Discount / Price Change

You can change your prices manually at checkout if you’d like to manually adjust the value of the items sold.

• Go to your Calendar and click on the appointment you’d like to apply the discount to.
• Click on the product or service you want to check out at a discounted rate and select Price.
• Type in the new discounted price and proceed with checkout. The price change will then be applied as a manual price.

Once you’re happy with the price, Click Pay, select your payment method, and Complete sale.
